Nice little bridge and ford through the Armuthsbach.
Original recycling: a keystone of the bridge was obviously once a tombstone. "Rest gently" is still easy to read there (see photo)

Unfortunately there are no more bridges and the path along the Armutsbach is no longer passable. Nevertheless always nice and now also a little adventure to cross the brook!

Some of the bridges have been rebuilt, although in summer most streams must be crossed using stepping stones or fords. The current bridge over the Armuthsbach is missing only a landing, but the footbridge is wide enough and can be crossed safely.
The Armuthsbach is a tributary of the Ahr River, approximately 18 km long. It rises near the town of Tondorf in North Rhine-Westphalia and flows into the Ahr near Schuld in Rhineland-Palatinate. Since the stream does not flow through any towns or villages, it meanders naturally through forests and meadows.
