Zierikzee is the center of the island of Schouwen-Duiveland. The city walls, gates and historical monuments that have largely been preserved give Zierikzee its own character. No fewer than 80% of the monuments on Schouwen-Duiveland are located in Zierikzee and that is why it can also be called a monument city. Zierikzee owes its origins, prosperity and prosperity to the water. The position of the port was strategic. The Zierikzee ships sailed to England and the Baltic Sea countries. Since we only briefly visited Zierikzee with the 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️ two years ago, we took the time today for a thorough tour. And it was really worth it. It really is a pearl among the 🇳🇱 cities.
