Length of the section approx. 10 km (the Stork Route section is part of our scenic route, it would also be possible to shorten the section from Bislich by bike to approx. 12-16 km as a circular route.)
Two tips for a stop at Cafe Pooth Bislich excellent crumble rhubarb cake, and a few km further in a rural location Cafe Landluft.
The little stork route is like a little short vacation, you can cycle relaxed on the route. The attentive birdwatchers among the cyclists will spot some storks foraging for food, especially on freshly mown meadows. We saw six stork nests on the route.
On the route there is also the possibility to cross the Rhine to Xanten with the passenger and bicycle ferry.
The section over the Rhine dike past the Rheinauen, on the meadows left and right scattered trees and farms, a very nice section on our tour.
