If you cross the Heidekamper Wohld, you have to drive on dead straight joyless forest roads. An exception is this path at the Fleischgaffel. The nature is more varied and the path at the top and in the middle part is largely natural. And what makes mountain bikers happy, it offers a few meters of altitude. My recommendation is to then swing into the Schuhwiese in Heidekamp and choose the footpath up to the night paddock. This brings more nature experience and altitude. Regarding the unusual field name Fleischgaffel: "Gaffel" stands for a fork in the road, and a local description from 1854 reports that there was a game reserve here.
