The Franciscan convent Sta. Maria de Victoria was a convent founded in 1365 in the former free imperial city of Biberach an der Riss in Upper Swabia. The patronage of the monastery, which was probably taken over from the Carmelite Church in Prague, is derived from the invocation of the Blessed Mother as "Holy Mary of Victory".[1]

The church of the Franciscan convent was demolished in the spring of 1812 on the orders of the King of Württemberg Friedrich I, contrary to the requests of the Catholic councilors of Biberach. The district court in Biberach and the Biberach branch of the State Building Authority in Ulm are housed in the remaining convent building.

I stayed here in the monastery hostel for one night on my bike trip. At that time, the only other guests besides me were an African priest and a Croatian assembly worker. Wonderful peace and quiet.
The room was simple but perfectly adequate, the bathroom was tip-top, everything was clean.
No TV, which is nice.
There was also a kitchen for self-catering. Very nice contact with the nurses....all in all, recommended when passing through 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
