In the middle of the Schorfheide, about 100m from a main path, is the "summit" of the Kohlenberg. There you will find a partly covered rest area. The Kohlenberg is located in the middle of an older and sparse pine population. There is still no sign of natural regeneration or substructure.
I didn't notice any signs along the main path. If you don't know anything about the service area, you can easily walk past it. The highlight is the small summit book. It can be found in a "nest box" on a tree.
