The Hochdorfer Garten in Tating near St. Peter-Ording is a monument to rural garden culture.

It is a pleasure to enjoy the diversity of flowering plants and to explore the exotic trees in this monument of rural garden culture. In spring e.g. 17 historical apple varieties bloom in the fruit tree district of the Hochdorfer Garten: Prinzenapfel, Gelber Richard to Tönninger. A lot has changed since the Baroque garden was created around 1764. The calm in a revitalized garden has remained. The Hochdorfer Garten was listed in 1979.
The Hochdorfer Garten can be seen as the most important garden monument of the rural garden culture in Schleswig-Holstein.
