A place worth seeing with the "Upper Palatinate Stonehenge", here you can experience history. In an experiment it should be shown how the famous "Stonehenge in England" came about. The action was accompanied by a BR film team. The three granite stones weighing around 40 tons were erected with pure muscle power within two days and now form this special attraction near Kulz. There are seating groups and a display board with explanations about the project. Great place for a break.

What many did not think possible, was very successful. The granite blocks, each weighing more than 40 tonnes, could be erected at their location within two days using pure muscle power and a special technique. This documentation was intended to convey to the inclined viewer the effort and performance needed to construct a monument of this size. Also the handling of the most different materials under rather primitive conditions should be presented. The experiment was very successful, the documentation was a success and since that time the Kulzer Stonehenge has become a very popular tourist attraction in the Upper Palatinate
