The buildings of the continuation colliery were regarded as exemplary buildings in terms of the industrial architecture of their time. The facade was structured rhythmically by pilaster strips. The gable walls of the engine shed were structured by the projections and recesses of the facing bricks. The roof structure with the attached daylight lantern was designed extremely filigree and harmoniously in a curved shape
