The ferry port of Schlüttsiel is one or maybe even the starting point for boat connections that lead to the Halligen. For us personally, the stain had a completely different surprise in store today.

Schlüttsiel belongs to the municipality of Ockholm and is located on the Hauke-Haien Koog. It's not even a place, just a port that was built in 1959. This harbor town was named after the sluice of the same name.

Although there are no major tourist attractions in Schlüttsiel, there are still a few special places that you can explore. The harbor is the heart of the town and is a picturesque sight with fishing boats and sailing boats bobbing gently in the water. Here you can watch the fishermen at work and even buy fresh fish directly from the cutter.
A trip to the nearby islands and Halligen is an absolute highlight. Take a ferry and discover the idyllic island and mudflat landscape. The islands and halls offer a variety of opportunities for hiking, cycling and relaxing in nature. Let yourself be enchanted by the vastness of the mudflats and the rough charm of the North Sea.
