The Aflenz Chapel was probably built in 1876. The inscription "Heilige Maria Osterwitz" on the chapel indicates that it is consecrated to Our Lady.
In 1946 the chapel was thoroughly renovated and made a mess chapel. A memorial plaque inside the chapel reminds of this.
At the beginning of the sixties there was another renovation and the age of the people was set.
The band was founded on the initiative of the Holler family. The Holler family also takes care of the maintenance of the location.
