Monument to the boiling pan:
Boiling pans were used in salt production to separate the enriched (graded) brine into water and common salt by heating. In boiling house 5 is one of the last surviving steel boiling pans (L*W = 11.5*7.5 m).
Renovation of the technical monument "Siedepfanne V" in two construction phases with funds from the monument preservation of the district, the state and the federal government was carried out until 2020
The entire roof structure of the half-timbered building, which was probably built in the second half of the 19th century, was badly damaged. The roof truss and trusses over the boiling pan had dropped more than 50 cm. The aim of the construction measure is to renovate the supporting structure and roofing while preserving as much of the historic building structure as possible.
