The Sterkselse Aa is a Dutch river that arises from various streams on the border of North Brabant and Limburg, east of Maarheeze. Most of the water flows through the Sterksels Canal, which was constructed in the early 20th century. A small stream meanders parallel to the canal along the old course of the river. Both waters come together north of Sterksel and then form the Sterkselse Aa. This river, together with the Groote Aa, becomes the Kleine Dommel at Heeze Castle.

Through the Sterksels Canal, which drains water from Limburg, the Sterkselse Aa currently only transports water from Brabant. The De Dommel Water Board is working on plans for stream restoration, whereby the Sterkselse Aa will resume its original function as a water drainage. To prevent desiccation, weirs are being constructed and land along the stream is being purchased as part of the Nature Network Netherlands development project.
