Stachelburg, Nalles (Stachelburg Cellar)
Our castle, the Stachelburg, was built in the early Renaissance, in the second half of the 16th century. The castle is a playful early Renaissance building and the builder's aim was to create a decorative castle. The beautiful castle is equipped with cheerful building elements such as the outside staircase with a loggia, oriels, wooden ceilings, pretty paintings and a courtyard garden. On the small tower are the Habsburg coat of arms, the shield and the Tyrolean coat of arms. On the facades you will find a larger and two smaller sundials which are not immediately recognizable due to the faded colours. Also worth mentioning are the original late Gothic sash windows that were restored in 2008. The handsome and romantic Stachelburg residence has been privately owned for several generations and the Dalla Corte family has been running the inn for 25 years.
Today, as our guest, you will find cosy, stylish rooms with historic vaults, a pleasant ambience and a beautifully landscaped courtyard garden. And here it is our aim to offer you a beautiful and tangible gastronomy.

The castle is a playful early Renaissance building from the second half of the 16th century with a corner bay tower, stair tower, outside staircase and loggia. Faded decorative and coat of arms paintings, as well as wooden ceilings, have been preserved in the interiors. Of historical importance is a Roman tombstone that was once located next to the entrance and has been kept in the Bolzano City Museum since 1924. The residence received its name from the Counts Stachelburg in the 18th century. Schönhaus previously belonged to the Marienberg monastery near Burgeis. All in all it is a very handsome and proud residence which used to be surrounded by a battlemented wall on the street side.
Today the Stachelburg serves as a snack station with a Törggelekeller.
