The neo-Gothic village church Grüna was built from 1873 to 1874. The old village church was destroyed in the fire of 1870. The church was built in the neo-Gothic style. The equipment inside is from the construction period and essentially preserved. A renovation took place between 1960 and 1963. The church is under monument protection. In its interior there is a simple church equipment from the period of construction.

Grüna is a district of Jüterbog. The place is about four kilometers north of Jüterbog in the Nuthe lowlands. The place probably came into being in the last third of the 12th century. It belonged to the original equipment of the monastery of Zinna, which is east of the village. The area was inhabited much earlier. During the construction of the railway, an Iron Age burial ground was discovered southwest of the village. The village belonged to the monastery of Zinna until its dissolution in 1533, and then to the archbishopric of Magdeburg. In 1816 the place came to the district of Jüterbog-Luckenwalde.

During the Thirty Years' War, the village burned down in 1642 and became almost completely deserted, but in 1684 the village was already populated again.

In 1870 the place burned down again almost completely. Around 1900 Grüna was connected to the Anhalter Bahn with a station. A brick factory was built at the same time. On December 31, 1997, Grüna was incorporated into the town of Jüterbog.
