The Wooldse Veen is a nature reserve located in the Achterhoek. It is a protected area that is part of the Winterswijk National Landscape. The peat area consists of extensive peat bogs, heathlands and fens, surrounded by wooded areas.

The Wooldse Veen is of special ecological importance because of the diverse flora and fauna that can be found there. It is home to rare plant species, including peat moss and cotton grass, as well as numerous bird species. Bird lovers can enjoy observing various water birds here, such as the grey heron and the grebe, but also special birds such as the eared grebe and the bittern.

The area is accessible via hiking trails that offer visitors the opportunity to experience the natural beauty up close. There are also information panels and viewpoints to learn more about the natural and historical aspects of the peat area.
