Here on the ridge of Korpberget lies an old castle and in it a burial ground with two burial mounds and five round stone slabs.
The castle hill is partially bordered by steep cliffs that have formed a natural border. To the north, where the terrain slopes more longitudinally, the castle is bordered by stone walls. Most of the old castles were probably built during the early Iron Age (400-1050 BC).
They were usually places of refuge for the region's population in times of trouble, but may have also served as sentinels along roads and waterways.
The two burial mounds were probably built during the Bronze Age (1800-500 BC). The stone deposits are mostly somewhat younger and probably date from the Late Bronze Age. A stone coffin is visible in the larger burial mound.
