Simply stunning, amazing views of the interior of Sussex all the way to th surrey hills borders, and on the other side views of the sea. It's a tough climb to get up here but worth every drop of sweat to do so. :)

Absolutely amazing ridge way dominated by prehistoric barrows which exist in robbed and ploughed out forms dotted all the way along the ridge. The views are spectacular.

In clear and clement weather the ridge itself is a pleasant ride over some hard packed mud, gravel and grass. In the wind and heading East to West the slight uphill is challenging.

There are a number of areas to stop and get some cover from the wind, useful if you have a thermos in the winter.

The uphill and downhill is marked by chalk, rock, rubble and brick so in other words be very careful speeding down to Southese and equally care climbing up from Alfriston it's a little treacherous.

At the bottom by Southease you will find the Southease Youth Hostel, which as a very nice cafe and is a brilliant place to stay.
