The 'Jewish monument' in Leeuwarden was erected in memory of the Jewish fellow citizens who were deported and killed by the occupying forces during the Second World War. The memorial also commemorates the Jewish Dusnus school.

The 'Jewish monument' in Leeuwarden consists of a column and a wailing wall with two side aisles. The column has the shape of a mezuzah and is made up of seventeen rings. The top ring is composed of four tiles, the sixteen other rings contain six large tiles. One hundred ceramic tiles have been installed for the mezuzah. Behind the column is a wall covered with six hundred ceramic tiles. The memorial is located in front of the former Jewish Dusnus school. Two memorial stones have been cemented into the wall of this building. The column is 4 meters 50 high. The wall is 15 meters wide. The side aisles are 4 meters 50 wide. There is also a Names Monument at the monument. This monument is made of a glass plate showing the names, age and place of death of 544 Jewish residents of Leeuwarden
