Georg Béla Pniower (1896-1960) was a gardener, landscape architect and professor of garden and regional culture in Berlin. Pniower worked for the Berlin companies Späth and Rothe as a senior garden architect from 1922 to 1925 and worked as a consultant for the Provincial Association of Allotment Gardeners of Greater Berlin. After the end of the war, Georg Pniower became a full professor of garden art and landscape design at the Free University and later at the Humboldt University. In 1960 he was awarded his doctorate. His work in Berlin includes the summer flower garden in Treptower Park, which was created in 1959.
