Here on Liebfrauenplatz in front of Mainz Cathedral there is a true-to-scale cast bronze tactile model. It makes the famous building tangible, in the literal sense, especially for blind and visually impaired people!

Cathedral to touchA bronze model of Mainz Cathedral stands on Liebfrauenplatz, close to the original. It is true to scale and has Braille. The Westphalian sculptor Egbert Broerken created the "Cathedral to touch". The Mainz Citizens' Foundation initiated and financed the 30th anniversary of the cathedral.
