The Toepkapel is a chapel in the Belgian town of Nederbrakel. The neo-Gothic chapel is located on a hill (kapelberg) and is also named after Saint Joseph and Our Lady of Peace. The seven stations of the procession Joseph's Sorrow and Joy are located around the chapel. The church was founded by villagers in 1924 as a thank you because the village had been spared during the war. On August 31 she was consecrated by Mgr. Seghers.
The word Toep is a dialect name for top or highest point.

The Toepkapel or Sint-Jozefskapel, which was built after the First World War by the people of Brakel in the same yellow bricks with which all buildings in Ypres were erected to thank Sint-Jozef for the fact that the area was spared from artillery fire. Around the chapel there is a procession with seven images of Joseph's sorrow and joy, while on a high crucifix the names of the Brakelars who died during the two world wars are engraved.

The Toepkapel or the Chapel of Peace or also called the Chapel of Saint Joseph is located on top (or the toep) of the Kapelberg. The chapel is surrounded by 7 stations of the procession Joseph's Sorrow and Joy. The chapel was founded in 1924, in gratitude because the area and the people were spared from violence and destruction during WWI.
