Like Boreraig around the headland, this village was cleared of its crofting residents by rich landowners for sheep farming in the mid -- 1800s.
Today, you'll find the remains of a few houses, barns and field boundaries - an interesting but sobering place to be. The walls offer useful shelter in bad weather.
