The port of Royan is located in the western part of the town of Royan (southwest of the Charente-Maritime department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region), between the Foncillon district and the Grande Conche beach, very close to the downtown.
Established in the mouth of the Gironde, in the immediate vicinity of the Atlantic Ocean and facing Port-Médoc, it consists of a thousand-ring marina and a fishing port, specializing in "noble" species. » (sole, lean, sea bass, langoustines, etc.). Its surroundings are home to a harbor master's office, an auction and a covered shopping arcade, "Les voûtes du Port", which extends into the shopping arcades of the "Front de Mer".

Royan is one of three fishing ports with an auction in Charente Maritime. With a fleet of around thirty boats, Royan fishing has established its reputation on certain species with remarkable taste.
