The site has been inhabited since 1860 and used for hunting and leisure activities from 1900.
In the resistance movement during the Second World War, the hut was on the route of refugees, but was also used as a sick camp or accommodation for a long time.
North of the hut is a 9000 year old Stone Age dwelling.
