The complex, which was built during the time of the so-called "Third Reich" and is known as "Ordensburg Vogelsang", was intended to serve as a training ground for the next generation of leaders of the National Socialist unjust regime. Today it stands in the middle of the Eifel National Park and part of the huge building complex now houses the National Park Information Center with a large exhibition on flora and fauna.
The gate system seen here already gives an impression of the architectural structure of this "Ordensburg", which was planned and realized during the Nazi era.
