The museum village in Seppsensen is an open-air local history museum, which is managed on a voluntary basis by the history and museum association in Buchholz and the surrounding area.

The following typical regional houses and facilities are located around a central village square:

the listed village school from 1880 with the local history library and the audiovisual exhibition "Zügig in die Zukunft",
the Sniers Hus, from Regesbostel, which was rebuilt in Seppensen in 1986,
the approx. 100-year-old bakery from Kampen, which was rebuilt in Seppensen in 1990,
the drive-through barn from Otter, this was rebuilt in 2002-2004,
a show apiary built in 2012,
a historic forge that was built in 2013 with the workshop of the last Buchholz village blacksmith, Arnold Kahnenbley.
There is also a fountain with a sod seesaw on the museum grounds and a well-kept cottage garden on the west side of Sniers Hus, where you can watch the changing of the seasons at any time.
