At the beginning of the 12th century, Haus Elmpt probably only consisted of a keep, i.e. from a tower that is now integrated into the west wing that was built later. Toilet towers, which are located on the northwest side, show that this building stock was built until 1450.

House Elmpt, a manor house with a baroque gate tower from 1750, is a castle-like and idyllic property.
The house was built on the old settlement grounds from the Franconian times by the Lords of Elmpt and has been the ancestral seat of the same name since 1202. The core of the estate dates back to the 15th century and was changed several times in the 18th and 19th centuries.
The house is currently privately owned.
