Riding this trail above the Ossiacher See offers breathtaking views of the shimmering lake, nestled between rolling hills and the majestic peaks of the Carinthian Alps. Although you pass in and out of treed areas, there are still plenty of open spots to enjoy the panoramic views. The trail is generally smooth and non-technical, but there are a few challenging sections where the trail narrows with some roots and rocks in primarily the wooded areas.

The mountain bike tour leads from Villach through the Ossiacher Tauern mountains along secondary roads, cycle paths, and forest trails, offering many wonderful views of the lake and the Landskron Castle ruins. The tour is well signposted and only moderately challenging!
From the Tauern pond, you can head either towards Köstenberg or Ossiach!
