The parish church dedicated to Santa Maria represents a fine example of Romanesque art, dating back to the 11th century, located at the exit from Viguzzolo in the direction of Volpedo and Val Curone.
Also known as "Sancta Maria in ripa padi" because a canal from the Curone stream passed nearby.
Surrounded by a well-kept park, it can be visited thanks to the commitment of the volunteers of the Viguzzolese Cultural Association under the patronage of the Municipality of Viguzzolo (open from May to September, every Sunday with guided tours from 4 to 7 pm).
Splendid Romanesque monument, particular for its simplicity and cleanliness of the architectural lines. It dates back to the 11th century, and is characterized by the mixed use of brick and stone. Inside, very suggestive and simple, wooden crucifix and crypt.
