The Hermitage of the Holy Martyrs is located in the town of Las Cuevas de Soria, part of the municipality of Quintana Redonda, in the province of Soria (Castilla y León). Although not as well-known as other Romanesque hermitages in the region, it is part of the local religious and cultural heritage.
Formerly known as San Cristóbal, it was renamed Santos Mártires when the remains of Sergio, Bachio, Marcelo and Apuleyo (Roman martyrs) were found. It is located inside the hill of El Castro, a fortified village, currently in a dilapidated state.
It is a small Romanesque hermitage located in the highest part of a hill that is close to the town of Cuevas de Soria. On the same hill there was also an old Celtiberian castro of which remains of its wall can still be seen. It is easily accessed from a path that leads out of the village and the views from the top are well worth it. As a curiosity, for the lintel of a window a piece of an ancient Roman stela was used, in which its content can still be read
