The main bazar in the old town of Tansen is located in the Bank Road. The narrow street is the only street in town centre without a gradient. The road is lined with Newari shops and banks on the eastern side and the Palpa Durbar on the western side of the road. At the end of the street in the north lies the pavilion of Shital Pati in the town centre.
