Fondo is a crossroads in many directions such as the Passo delle Palade, the Passo della Mendola, the valley floor with Mezzocorona and not to forget the Val di Sole. The center is very narrow and characteristic and is the right place to refuel before continuing. I almost forgot the very characteristic passage passing through Lauregno and Proves to arrive in Val d'Ultimo in South Tyrol.

Fondo, capital of the widespread municipality of Borgo d'Anaunia, as the name suggests, is located at the northern end of the Val di Non and is a crossroads for various destinations such as the Mendola Pass, which leads towards Bolzano, the Palade Pass towards the Val d'Ultimo and the Forcella di Brez towards the Val di Sole. In addition to the small historic center with the parish church of San Martino, the Rio Sass Canyon and the small Emerald Lake are worth a visit
