The post office building is a brick building from 1882 to 1883 built by the Spremberger contractor Mittag with an attached insulator tower. The ceremonial inauguration of the Imperial Post Office took place on April 16, 1883, and on January 3, 1890 the isolator tower was put into operation with the local telephone network. The insulator tower is one of the few surviving towers of this type in Germany.
