The farmhouse with the huge half-hipped roof and the half-timbered gable is the most important building in Malmsbach next to the remains of the former valley castle. As the only one of the former eight rural properties in the village, it has been referred to as "The Farm" or "At the Farmer's" through the centuries. The farm was first mentioned in a document of sale in 1365, when the castle and farm changed hands. The farm is also known to the locals as "Beuglerhof", since 1955 as "Falkhof".
