Only four kilometers south of the Baltic Sea lies Castle Bothmer in the middle of an idyllic park. It owes its existence to the adventurous life of a man: Count Hans Caspar von Bothmer. At the height of his career, the Earl lived in London - on the legendary 10 Downing Street. From there he had himself built from 1726 the magnificent facility in Klützer angle and thus brought a piece of England to Mecklenburg.
