"Woodhenge" is the replica of a wooden circle made of 56 wooden posts from the Early Bronze Age, the remains of which were found here during excavation work. Unfortunately, the replica doesn't really look "Bronze Age" as the posts are visibly attached to a concrete ring. The rest area, as well as the table and benches next to the wooden circle, just as little create a "Bronze Age atmosphere" as the transmitter mast on the Höhbeck, which can be seen in the northwestern background of Woodhenge, which I think is a bit of a shame. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful and historically interesting place. The landscape in the area, with Gartower See, is very beautiful. I often cycle in the area and enjoy it.
