Archaeological evidence of ten thousand years of settlement can be found on the Mortensnes peninsula. There is a small museum right next to the parking lot. A circular route starts from there.

A mind blowing place of cultural significance. The museum was closed already for the season when we visited (early September) but we could still follow the trail of settlements across ages. There were offering sites, burial grounds and settlements. There is a free (and open) toilet in the fields even if the museum is closed.
