Koeneman Park McBride Mountain paths staging area and resting place for horses
Located along the Fraser River, just off the highway in McBride, this staging area has two horse corrals for overnight use in an emergency. Although the banks are close to the river, they are unstable, so it is recommended that users provide their own supply water or walk their horses to a safer watering hole at the end of the highway at Koeneman Park, approximately km from the staging point. From the Koenemanpark there is access to an 11 km long multifunctional trail (horses, mountain bike, hiking). (Completed 2020)
