Before the main asphalt routes were marked out in the Bukowa Forest - all traffic was carried out on cobblestone and dirt roads. Stara Droga Kołowska is one of such roads. The road on section I to Dobropol Gryfiński is entirely paved. In front of Dobropol itself - additionally hardened with stone. It goes all the time uphill through the picturesque gorges of the "Osetno" Nature Reserve. In some places loose sands, especially in the reserve, but generally hard and pleasant to ride.
The Osetno nature reserve was established on November 14, 2008 and covers an area of 111.59 ha. Osetno is a forest reserve, but at the same time one of the first mycological reserves in Poland, protecting rare and endangered species of mushrooms.
