    First section of the trail from Spullersee to Klösterle - starting from the Klostner Alpe. If you want to go down here, you basically have no alternative. I.e. there is no forest path on which one could avoid. For reasonably experienced mountain bikers, the trail is pure joy!

    After the first part you can stay on the trail (section 2: komoot.de/highlight/5018126) or switch to the forest path.

      Uphill is a great thing for XC fans, and depending on your ability, it can also be done without getting off.

      Technique and fitness required, as it is steep in places.

      A very good alternative to the Rauhen Joch/Freiburger Hütte as a descent.

        Please remember that the path is officially forbidden to cyclists.

        If you "miss" the sign and ride carefully, you'll have a nice uphill and downhill route from the Klostertal. It's the only rideable route from the Klostertal, and there are also a few hikers on the way, which makes the ban seem quite sensible.

        Unfortunately, the ban is not listed here on komoot.

        In my defense: I actually didn't see a sign uphill, but on the downhill the sign is clearly visible right at the top of the lake, unfortunately there was no other way down.

        Downhill via the Spreubachtobel is also forbidden and more demanding.
