Bosco Fontana is a natural area in the Municipality of Marmirolo, on the outskirts of Mantua, easily reachable along the Mantova-Peschiera cycle path (take the detour to Marmirolo).
Bosco Fontana was the hunting lodge of the Gonzaga family. At the center of the park is the Villa dei Gonzaga, dating back to the 1500s.
One of the largest (233 hectares) remnants of the vast lowland forest that once covered the entire Po Valley. In the center stands the seventeenth-century Palazzina dei Gonzaga.
