The trail begins shortly after the footbridge over the Lainsitz and ends at the junction with the L8296 state road. Coming from the northeast (from the direction of Eisenwerk), it goes slightly but steadily uphill. The forest path is littered with lots of granite stones (so typical for the Waldviertel) along its entire length and is therefore really fun.
