PALINDROME LIFE – FOG (by Andreas Laugesen)
Oak wood, 2019
The artist Andreas Laugesen created this palindrome on behalf of the Asbeck Local History Association. Palindromes are words and sentences that can be read forwards and backwards. Laugesen previously exhibited palindromes in the monastery district of the village of Asbeck in the 2012 exhibition "Lichtblicke" (Rays of Light).
The palindrome LIFE – FOG shown here appears to float above the wildflower meadow. It leaves plenty of room for individual interpretation.
