      The Steinplatte is a 1,869 meter high mountain massif in the Chiemgau Alps in Austria. The border of the provinces of Salzburg and Tyrol runs over the summit. To the south, the mountain breaks off into striking rock faces.

                              Steinplatte summit and Belgian cross. After a forest path, a small, narrow path leads up to the summit. A bit of climbing and sure-footedness is required here. Sturdy shoes recommended, also suitable for children who love climbing, not accessible with prams.
