The village of Muri lies high above the confluence of the Mudi/Muri Khola and Myagdi Khola at an altitude of about 1,850 m. Magar and Kami (blacksmiths) live in the village. Muri is the last major village on the upper valley of Myagdi Khola.
When the weather is nice, you can admire the western mountain range of the Dhaulagiri Himal looking up the Mudi/Muri Khola valley – Gurja Himal (7,193 m) in the west to Dhaulagiri V (7,618 m).
