Description:

The inanimate nature monument Góra Ciosowa was established in 1987 by order of the Kielce Voivode. The subject of protection is a geological outcrop of Lower Triassic, red sandstones left after an inactive quarry. The exposure takes the form of a rock wall up to 20 m high and about 70 m long.

"The exposure presents large-scale diagonal layering of sandstones, which, together with other interesting sedimentary structures, documents the aeolian genesis of the sediment. There are also structures here that indicate the periodically prevailing aquatic environment during the formation of the sediment: current ripples, drying cracks, deposited mud rolls." - a difficult fragment from the regulation...
