St. Barbara Chapel - Eberner Käppele

The tranquil and simple chapel stands on the former Bundeswehr training area. Through the efforts of the “Käppele-Baufreunde St. Barbara” the small chapel was renovated a few years ago. The small church is not only the center of returnees' pilgrimages, but also a popular excursion destination with a panoramic view of Ebern and the surrounding area.
On June 14, 1959, the “Käppele” was consecrated by the city priest Wilhelm Haller.

The pilgrimage to the Eberner Käppele takes place annually in mid-July.
