The Rosa windmill was built in 1869 and is the landmark of Gettorf. Today there is a community library in the beautiful mill and weddings take place there.

The Gettorf windmill (also known as Mühle Rosa) is an old windmill in the municipality of Gettorf in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district in Schleswig-Holstein.

It is (alongside the St. Jürgen Church) one of the symbols of Gettorf.

It is a gallery Dutch mill, which is equipped with a two-storey, red brick-built quadrangular substructure (tower), a slate-covered roof and louvre wings as well as a wind direction adjustment called "wind rose". A later addition adds to the usable area.

The miller had the miller Wilhelm Theodor Johannsen built in 1869 by the mill builder Carl Friedrich Trahn (1806-1888). The mill was used to grind grain until 1946. Between 1977 and 1982 the mill was renovated by the "Association for the Conservation of the Gettorfer Windmill".

The Gettorfer windmill is used as a community library and for weddings.

Windmill Rosa - 1869
Wilhelm Theodor Johannsen had the Dutch architect Zwickstell-Mühle with Venetian blind and wind rose, as well as the residential and storage building Herrenstraße 2 with a store for the mill products, built by the mill builder Trahn from Neustadt in 1869. It was the first free mill in the Danish town of Wohld after lifting of the mill in 1853. It was acquired in 1938 by the miller Karl Söhl. The mill was in operation until 1946 and was saved from being demolished by the Gettorf Windmill Promotion Association, founded in 1977, from which the Gettorfer Windmill and Embellishment Association emerged in 1984.
