In 1484, Gebhard von Alvensleben received Vollenschier as a fief. He first built a preliminary work and later the estate. The manor house that exists today was built in the Baroque period in the middle of the 18th century as a single-story building. The estate belonged to Baron von Etzel. His son-in-law, Baron von Kloppmann, later took over the estate.
There is a gabled risalit on both the front and rear garden sides. The facade is structured by mirror surfaces below and keystones above the windows as well as edge pilaster strips and a projecting roof cornice. The building is covered by a mansard hipped roof with four dormers.
The entrance leads into a centrally located hall with a hexagonal floor plan and a sweeping stucco ceiling. In the 18th century there was a geometrically designed baroque garden behind the manor house.
Horses, sheep, cows and oxen were kept on the estate and crops were farmed. There was also an estate gardening facility. As a result of the land reform in the Soviet occupation zone in which Vollenschier was located, the von Kloppmann family was expropriated in the summer of 1945, whereupon Baron von Kloppmann fled to West Germany. However, the estate remained intact as a whole and continued as a national estate with animal and plant breeding. The manor house was initially inhabited until around 1990 and then was in great need of renovation. The estate also ceased operations in 1990/91.
In 1992, the von Engelbrechten family, who are largely related to the former owners, acquired the estate. The manor house was renovated. The family moved to Vollenschier in 2004 and also took up farming again.

The strongly structured church was built between 1875 and 1877 by Conrad Wilhelm Hase. The client was the Privy Senior Government Councilor August Henning von Kröcher. During construction, certain special wishes of the client had to be taken into account. So seating was required for the rulers near the choir, which, however, should be hidden from people's eyes. In addition, seating for inspectors and administrators as well as an organ and boys' choir were expected.
The brick church has a cross-shaped floor plan and is richly decorated with decorative elements. Pointed decorative gables, surrounding friezes and a richly designed buttress determine the external appearance of the church. There are also small additions. The cross shape is represented by the tower, transept, central nave and apse.

There are three-lane pointed arched windows on the nave. The windows in the choir are two-pane. The floor of the apse on the east side is raised compared to the central nave. On the west side, the church tower rises with polygonal staircases. The church is covered with a high, slate-hip roof. The sacristy is on the north side. The bricks used for construction came from a brickworks near Vollenschier.
